ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS

11:10

Roundtable Discussions

Roundtable One: What are the challenges in achieving automated service assurance of services spanning multiple operator network domains?

· How much information has to be shared by wholesale network operators with the provider of the multi-domain service about the behaviour of their specific network portion in order to enable the end-to-end service to remain within its SLA?
· Are new approaches to storing and distributing such information (e.g. data lakes) required and if so, what sort of adjustments will service providers need to make to their organizations to support such changes?
· How will that information be shared between potentially competitive network operators to support end-to-end service assurance? Is a new trust model required? Can distributed ledger (blockchain) approaches help?
· What could be the impact of the use of rapidly deployable VNFs on automated service assurance?
· What will be the demands on orchestration APIs to support automated service assurance? Will there be a need to evolve the current hard coded API approach to intent-based cognitive interfaces and if so, is the industry gearing up for this?

Roundtable Two: Impact of Cloud Native thinking and open source on Next generation networking

· Application of AI and Policy management in next generation networkring
· Securing next generation networks

Roundtable Three: The roles of standards/specifications and open source; the complementary nature of the different SDOs/specification-groups
