Mr. Mark Lum

Mark has worked in telecoms and carrier networks since graduating from Cambridge University. He joined ITT-STL where he was immediately put to work on the world's very first 140Mbit/s and 565Mbit/s optical line systems, and gained his MSc in Telecommunications studying statistics of modal noise in multimode systems.

In his career, he has contributed to the first SDH and WDM networks – even ATM – done time at ITU and ETSI standards as Rapporteur, and worked on early Carrier Ethernet services over a decade ago. More recently as a consulting analyst, he continues to stay on top of fundamental trends and disruptions, and examines new developments with a careful eye.

Since first finding out about OpenFlow and SDN over 3 years ago, Mark clearly recalls learning to program in 1973 using punched cards on an ICL mainframe (and front panel register toggles on a PDP-8). So he is especially delighted to welcome this distinguished panel of leaders, activists and pioneers to this latest Congress on Software-Defined Networking and Network Functions Virtualisation.

Mr. Gint Atkinson

Gint leads the Strategy & Architecture team responsible for developing KVH's Pan-Asia Data Center Connectivity and Cloud Connectivity Service platforms that will reach for to cover Asia's top 100 data centers.

Prior to KVH, he spent six years with World Wide Packets and Ciena leading the development of Ethernet and Optical service platforms product lines. Gint has worked in the networking, mobile, and emerging media industries over 26 years as a serial entrepreneur for start-ups and large service providers including T-Mobile, AT&T, KDDI, Virgin Media and others.

Mr. Tom Bie
VP, Technology and Engineering Group | Tencent


Tom has been responsible for building and operating cloud infrastructure for Tencent, including massive scale cloud data centers, backbone networks and custom built servers, which powers a variety of Internet services and products offered by Tencent to Internet users. He leads the division and has spent many years working on technology and solutions on software defined infrastructure and automated operation to meet business challenges.

Tom has over 20 years experience in the Internet and networking industry, holding a master's degree in communication and electronic systems. He joined Tencent in 2005 and witnessed fast growth with this company. Prior to Tencent, Tom worked on IT infrastructure for online services in financial companies.

Mr. Marc Cohn

Marc Cohn is the Senior Vice President of Marketing for ClearPath Networks based in San Jose.

Marc has been a major contributor to the Software Defined Networking (SDN) community, as a senior leader of the Open Networking Foundation (ONF), where he is the Market Area Director, and a member of the ONF Technical and Executive Councils. He is also the sole Silver Member representative for the OpenDaylight Board of Directors.

Marc participates in the ETSI Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV) ISG where he advises the senior leadership on PR and outbound messaging. He is the editor of the ETSI NFV leadership Blog, and the NFV Insider series on SDxCentral, one of the most popular Blogs on NFV. Marc also speaks extensively on SDN and NFV, and has organized successful SDN tutorials and workshops for major SDN and NFV events, including the Open Networking Summit, SDN & OpenFlow World and Asia-Pacific Congresses, NFV World Congress, NFV & SDN Summit, among others.

Prior to joining ClearPath Networks, Marc was a major contributor to Ciena's SDN initiatives, and formerly held senior marketing and product management roles with IP Infusion, Amdocs, Lucent Technologies, and Alidian Networks. Marc earned a MS EE degree from the University of Southern California where he was a Hughes Fellow, a BS EE degree in Electrical Engineering and was the first Computer Engineering graduate from the University of Missouri.

Mr. Christophe Coutelle
Chief Marketing Operations Officer | Huawei


Christophe Coutelle is the Chief Marketing Operations Officer for Huawei Core Network. His portfolio covers multiple domains such as Mobile Communications Evolution (VoLTE, 4G and 5G Core), CaaS (Communications as a Service), Cloud and NFV (Network Functions Virtualization), Big Data for Traffic and Customer Experience Management.

Christophe is based in Shenzhen China and deals with projects and customers globally. He leads an international team of 50+ solutions, branding and pricing managers. Prior to joining Huawei, Christophe held different positions within the Orange Group; he was notably responsible for the Broadband Business Development (Livebox) for Orange in Europe and previously held a Product Marketing Director position for a France Telecom subsidiary in Latin America.

Christophe holds a Master's Degree in Science and Engineering from the National Telecommunications Institute in Paris and a Master's Degree in Business Organization and Sociology from the Paris-Dauphine University. Christophe speaks fluent French, English and Spanish and is currently learning Chinese Mandarin.

Mr. Mike Fratto
Principal Analyst, Enterprise Networking and Data Center Technology | Current Analysis


Mike Fratto is a Principal Analyst on the Business Technology and Software team at Current Analysis, covering the Enterprise Networking and Data Center Technology markets. He has extensive experience reviewing and writing about enterprise remote access, security, and network infrastructure products.

Prior to Current Analysis, Mike was with TechWeb for over 15 years finishing as Editor of Network Computing. He was Lead Analyst with InformationWeek Analytics, Senior Technology Editor with Network Computing and Executive Editor for Secure Enterprise. He has spoken at several conferences including Interop, MISTI, the Internet Security Conference, as well as to local groups. He served as the chair for Interop's Data Center and Storage tracks.

He also teaches a network security graduate course at Syracuse University. Prior to Network Computing, Mike was an independent consultant. Mike graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelors of Information Science and Technology.

Mr. Surjya Goswami
Research Manager – Enterprise Networks | IDC


Surjyadeb Goswami is a Research Manager with IDC's Enterprise Computing Group. Based in Bangalore, INDIA, Surjya is part of the Enterprise Networking Group responsible for tracking, market sizing and analysis of the Networking Equipment market for APeJ region. Surjya is also the lead for IDC's Asia/Pacific SDN research initiatives. He works closely with a team of IDC's country analysts across the region to provide clients with the latest trends and comprehensive analysis in the Networking markets. Surjya has co-authored IDC's Wireless LAN Tracker taxonomy and also recently published a Technology Assessment report around SDN adoption and market forecast in the APeJ region.

Surjya has been associated with IDC for around 10 years now and prior to moving into IDC's Asia/Pacific role, he was responsible for leading IDC's India research pertaining to diverse market segments such as Switching & Routing, Wireless LAN, ANS, Enterprise Telephony and Structured Cabling.

Surjya holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management, specializing in Marketing & Systems from EMPI Business School, New Delhi, India.

Mr. Manish Gulyani
VP Product Marketing, Networks & Platforms Group | Alcatel-Lucent


As Vice President of Product Marketing, Manish Gulyani is responsible for telling the story behind Alcatel-Lucent's ground-breaking IP, Optics and Fixed Broadband Access solutions – a sector that represents roughly 40 percent of Alcatel-Lucent's product portfolio.

Having taken on this role in 2011, Manish oversees a team that handles strategic marketing to a broad range of customers, including fixed and mobile service providers, cable MSOs, competitive carriers and strategic industries. During the past 20 years, Manish has applied his keen analytic sense and strategic vision to a diverse number of roles, including senior positions with Product Management, Strategy, Marketing, Business Development and R&D.

Most notably, Manish has helped grow Alcatel-Lucent's IP business from a five-person outfit to a team of more than 400. By serving as product manager during Alcatel-Lucent's acquisition of TiMetra, Manish was influential in establishing an IP/edge router that would enjoy a 90 percent adoption rate among customers. He accomplished this in only five years.

Recently, Manish was responsible for driving the High Leverage Network vision and strategy across Alcatel-Lucent, as well as launching the 7950 XRS core router. In addition, Manish is responsible for leading marketing activities surrounding Alcatel-Lucent's cloud business, including its latest software-defined networking (SDN) venture, Nuage Networks.

Manish received his master's degree in Telecommunications from Dublin City University, in Ireland and his bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, in India. When not immersed in the world of IP networking, he enjoys kayaking on the Ottawa River.

Mr. Gil Hellmann
VP, Solutions Readiness | Wind River


Gil Hellman is focused on defining, aligning, creating, and executing the technical aspect of go-to-market strategic solutions plays for Wind River. He has over 18 years of experience in R&D, technical product management, and product management of embedded systems. He joined Wind River as a field applications engineer in October 1999, and since then has held different positions in R&D, sales, and marketing.

Prior to joining Wind River, Gil was the team manager of system integration for software and hardware for the Israeli Aircraft Industry. Before this role, he was responsible for board support package and device driver development for jet fighter mission computers at the Israeli Aircraft Industry.

He has an M.B.A. from Hariot-Watt University, a B.A. in economics from Tel-Aviv Open University, and a software engineering degree from Bar-Ilan University.

Mr. Karl Horne
CTO – APAC Region | Ciena


As Chief Technology Officer (Asia Pacific), Karl Horne is responsible for architecture and technology strategies for Ciena in the Asia Pacific region, which spans Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Vietnam. In this capacity, he works with customers, technologists, industry analysts, and key partners to craft Ciena's Converged Optical and Packet solutions.

Karl has over 22 years experience in the telecom and datacom industries. Aside from his current position, he has served in several capacities within Ciena, including R&D, CTO, and Portfolio Strategy roles. Prior to Ciena, Karl held engineering leadership positions with Scientific Atlanta and AT&T Tridom. His extensive experience has included responsibilities in multiple regions and disciplines.

Karl holds a BSEE from Clemson University.

Mr. Yukio Ito
SVP, Director, Member of Board | NTT Communications


Board Member | Open Networking Foundation


Yukio Ito joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation after graduating from graduate school, having previously worked for the Switching System of PSTN and the Business Communication Network.

After the reorganization of NTT in 1999, Yukio designed the architecture of the Transport Network of NTT Communications and introduced new technology in the Transport Network of NTT Communications.

Since June 2010, he has been in charge of engineering, construction and operation of the IP & L1, L2 backbone network in NTT Communications. He has also been in charge of the entire NTT Communications service infrastructure and introduced SDN-OpenFlow technologies into NTT communications' Business Network.

More recently, since August 2014, he has been responsible for Technology Development to strengthen cross-service technological development capability in accordance with NTT Communications'-wide business strategies.

Yukio has been a member of the Board of the Open Networking Foundation since December 2011.

Mr. Robert Jones

Robert is a highly trained and experienced research engineer with two published patents in the field of process engineering.

Having left the engineering world to use latent skills in communication and management, Robert spent 10 years in the events business working for a global events organisation, during which time he developed an astute judgement of what will work commercially and how to meet customer expectations, launching and growing events that were highly successful in Europe, Asia and South America.

Robert has drawn together senior professionals with both events and industry backgrounds to build a unique business information platform.

Mr. Paresh Khatri
Director, Platform Strategy | Alcatel-Lucent


Paresh Khatri is the director and head of E2E Platform Architecture Strategy of IP Routing and Transport Regional Business Center, Alcatel-Lucent APAC.

He has been responsible for architectural design for the largest IP transformation projects in the region, and is now working closely with service providers as they address the growing demand for scale and new services for the next generation of wireline and wireless networks in the cloud era. Paresh's areas of expertise include the entire range of IP/MPLS technologies and applications, from the network core to the access network. He also specialises in packet-based mobile core and backhaul networks and emerging mobile technologies such as LTE.

Paresh has more than 15 years' experience with both service providers and vendors in building carrier-grade IP/MPLS networks, including the largest IP NGN transformation project ever undertaken in Australia.

Paresh is a regular speaker at industry conferences in the APAC region and also actively participates in a number of telecommunications industry standards bodies.

Mr. Peter Landon
Director, Product Architecture | BTI


Peter Landon is the Director of Product Architecture in the Office of the CTO at BTI Systems, responsible for the company's product architecture strategy. He is also a participant and contributor to the OIF as well as the ONF OTWG.

His more than 25 years of experience in ASIC and system design include: leading the design of the tracking system for the NASA James Webb Space Telescope while at COM DEV; being appointed a "Distinguished Member of Technical Staff" in ASIC design at Lucent Technologies/Bell Labs; serving as technical manager for optical IC development at Agere Systems; and since joining BTI, leading the architecture and design of the BTI 7000 Series packet-optical transport systems, and the award-winning BTI 7800 Series Intelligent Cloud Connect platform. Peter is currently defining the SDN and NFV architecture for the 7800 series at BTI.

Peter earned his BSc in Engineering from Queen's University with post graduate work at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.

Mr. Kevin Landry

Kevin Landry brings over 15 years of network management / operational support system (OSS) subject matter expertise in the telecommunication industry to his senior marketing management role at Alcatel-Lucent.

Kevin has been responsible for product marketing of the Alcatel-Lucent 5620 SAM since January 2008. In addition to his interests in software technology, Kevin has a strong creative side and enjoys video editing (having worked to develop many 5620 SAM videos available on the web today).

Dr. Li Junjie

Junjie Li has worked with China Telecom for more than 10 years in R&D and deployment of optical communication and networking technology.

Currently he is the director of optical communication research centre in China Telecom Beijing Research Institute (CTBRI). Junjie served as China Telecom representative in OIF from 2008 and has been actively involved in many OIF efforts on 100G/400G transmission, multi-domain/multi-layer networking, control plan, transport SDN, and global interoperability testing, etc. He currently serves as an OIF Board Member

Junjie has a PhD degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing. He is a senior member of CIC (China Institute of Communications) and began to serve as a member of the Youth Committee of CIC from 2012.

Mr. Lim Ming Kiat

Ming Kiat has more than 20 years of experience in the IT and communications industry helping Global 1000 companies use technology to improve their organizational effectiveness.

His background in Sales, Engineering, and Operations as well as work experience in the West (United States) and Asia (Singapore) gives him a broad perspective of the global info-communications business.

He is bi-lingual (English and Chinese) and has travelled extensively around the world working with different cultures. He has an M.B.A. Information Systems from University of Minnesota (Carlson School of Management) and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University.

Mr. Andrew Malis
Distinguished Engineer | Huawei


Andrew Malis is a Distinguished Engineer at Huawei Technologies. He specializes in product and network architecture and future evolution; standards leadership (internal and external to the company); customer consultation; and SDN, NFV, IP, MPLS, Ethernet, and other telecom and data networking protocols.

Previously, he held senior engineering positions at Verizon, Tellabs, Cascade Communications, BBN, and other industry-leading organizations. He also holds standards leadership positions as Services Area Director and Technical Council Member at the Open Networking Foundation (ONF) and as a Working Group co-chair and a member of the Routing Directorate in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).

Andrew has held leadership roles in numerous other standards organizations, including board memberships and president/chairman.

He has written and contributed to many technology standards, including having authored over thirty IETF RFCs, and has spoken and chaired at numerous industry conferences.

Dr. Mike McBride
Director of Technology | Ericsson


Mike McBride is a DIrector of Technology at Ericsson.

He actively participates in SDN/OpenFlow architecture development, market development, and project management within the Open Networking Foundation. He leads an ONF Data Center project team and is editor of the Security Solutions Brief.

Mike was an 18 year veteran of Cisco where he worked on network architectures and managed mobility, wireless and video projects. He was a speaker at Cisco Live conferences for many years. He is CCIE#2371. Most recently, Mike was a Principal Engineer within Huawei's Network Technology CTO office in Santa Clara.

Mike has served as an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) PIM Working Group chair since 2004.

Mr. Sanjeev Mervana

As Senior Director of Marketing for Service Provider Business at Cisco, Sanjeev is responsible for setting and executing the strategic direction of products and solutions for Cisco Service Provider Solutions and Architectures around SDN/NFV, Evolved Programmable Network ( EPN) , Mobility, Cloud and Video for Cisco's global service provider customers.

Sanjeev is an expert on a broad portfolio of intelligent Routing & Switching platforms, solutions software & architectures designed to meet service provider needs. Recent accomplishments of Sanjeev, includes the successful introduction of Industry's First Network Convergence System Family for Internet of Everything ( IoE), Cisco Open Networking Environment ( ONE) for Service Provider, ASR 9000 , ASR 900 & ME3600/3800 in the Service Provider Market segment, as well as managing the business of Carrier Ethernet Edge routing within Cisco's Service Provider Networking Group.

Sanjeev has been with Cisco for over 15 years and has authored various publications, blogs as well as a Cisco Press Book "Design Principles of DSL Based Access Solutions." With over 25 years of experience in networking , Software & Solutions , Sanjeev has held prominent roles leading innovative and architectures and solutions around Software, SDN, NFV, Broadband Aggregation, IPTV Carrier Ethernet and Mobile IP RAN business within Cisco.

Sanjeev holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Pune University and currently resides in San Jose with his wife, daughter and son.

Mr. Sasa Nijemcevic

Sasa Nijemcevic is Vice President and General Manager of Network and Service Management Business Unit of IP Routing and Transport Business Line.

Previously, Sasa has led R&D teams for 5780 DSC and 5620 SAM as well as some Wireless Network Management products for several years. He has been involved with 5620 SAM from the very beginning and has been part of its success and evolution into the Unified Network Management platform for IP, Optical, Microwave and Wireless LTE portfolio of products.

Sasa has been with Newbridge, then Alcatel, then Alcatel-Lucent for 18 years, all in network management space.

Mr. Gal Ofel

Gal Ofel is the Head of Software Solution Product Line Management at Telco Systems. Gal is responsible for the software products and the related ecosystem, including Telco Systems' Open Metro Edge solution for SDN and Distributed NFV for service providers.

Gal has over 15 years of experience in the high-tech industry, mainly in senior product management and pre-sales positions, including Perfecto-Mobile, Comverse, Shunra and Demantra-Oracle and Zoostr.

Recently Gal was the founder of Zoostr and was responsible for visioning and launching the company's SaaS product. Before founding Zoostr, Gal worked at Perfecto Mobile as VP Product and was responsible for the cloud based test and measurement products for mobile operators. Gal has extensive technical expertise in mobile apps, cellular platforms, cloud technology and enterprise applications.

Dr. Dan Pitt
Executive Director | Open Networking Foundation


Dan Pitt is Executive Director of the Open Networking Foundation, a role he has held since its public launch in March 2011. As such he sets the vision and strategic direction and oversees all technical, outreach, and operational activities involving the ONF staff, Board of Directors, and over 2,000 volunteer contributors. ONF's activities span technical development and market education for the whole of SDN, including not just the OpenFlow substrate but also many aspects supporting services and orchestration in and above the control plane. ONF's mission is to accelerate the adoption of open SDN.

Prior to ONF, Dan spent twenty years developing networking architecture, technology, standards, and products at IBM in Raleigh and Zurich, Hewlett Packard Labs in Palo Alto, and Bay Networks and Nortel Networks in Santa Clara, where he was vice president for the Bay Architecture Lab and the Enterprise Solutions Technology Center. His standards experience spans IEEE, ANSI, ISO, IETF, ETSI, BSI, JSI, and ATM Forum responsibilities, and his organization's technologies enhanced a wide array of shipped products.

From 2002-2007 he served as dean of the school of engineering at Santa Clara University. From 2007-2011 he advised and served in executive operational roles in technology startup companies in the U.S., Australia, and Canada.

Dan received a B.S. in mathematics (magna cum laude) from Duke University, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Illinois. He taught as an adjunct professor at Duke University and the University of North Carolina for ten years, has served on advisory boards at UC Berkeley and EPFL, has fifty publications and one patent to his credit, and chairs an awards committee for the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology.

Mr. Gnana Prakash NS

Gnana Prakash is Network Consultant in Infrastructure Design of Colt Technologies, has worked in telecom service providers & networking for over a decade and currently works on the complex development of vCPE's in Network Layer Integration strategy. He was notably Engineering responsible for Datacenter and Access layer infrastructure of Colt's worldwide network.

Prior to joining Colt Technologies, Gnana was troubleshooting networks and routers hardware everyday as Advance Juniper TAC. Before this role he was designing and operating Sify's network.

Gnana is graduated from Madras University with a Bachelors of Electronics & Communication in India. He holds JNCIE #411. While he is off from IP networking, he enjoys sketching his next targeted portrait with his 9H to 9B pencils.

Mr. Shiraz Qureshi

Shiraz Qureshi is the Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) Evangelist for Nuage Networks in the Asia-Pacific region.

With 20 years of Research & Development (R&D) experience, Shiraz is a strategic advisor to governments, commercial enterprises, and service providers in several key technologies – including Cloud, Virtualization, Mobility, Big Data, and Security.

Shiraz holds 14 patents in server and software technologies. He led R&D teams to deliver billion-dollar technology programs, and architected key innovations in Server IO and Firmware technologies. He is strong contributor to the industry and lends his expertise to several forums including Open Daylight, Open Networking Foundation, ETSI, PCI-SIG, ACPI, UEFI Forum, and Linux Standard Base (Linux Foundation) organizations.

Prior to Nuage Networks, Shiraz worked in several leading organizations including Hewlett-Packard, Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space, Motorola, and Phoenix Nuclear Research Lab.

Shiraz holds a Master of Business Administration in Innovation Management and New Product Development from the University of California at Davis, CA, USA, and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, MI, USA.

Ms. Shanthi Ravindran

Shanthi Ravindran is a Senior Analyst with Analysys Mason's Telecoms Software Research team, focusing on OSS, BSS, Software-controlled networking and related Professional Services for Asia-Pacific customers.
Shanthi has over 25 years of experience in design, deployment and operations of Wireless and Broadband Networks for operators across the Asia Pacific. She is an expert in designing optimized solutions across Access Network, Core, Identity management and Policy, OSS, BSS and Service platforms, with a strong understanding of the evolution of software in telecom networks.

Mr. Phil Robb
Director of Technical Operations | OpenDaylight


Phil Robb is the Director of Networking Solutions at the Linux Foundation. In this role Phil is supporting the rapid and robust growth of open source software defined networking (SDN) through the OpenDaylight Project.

Prior to joining the Linux Foundation Phil was the director of HP's Open Source Program Office where he had responsibility for HP's corporate open source strategy, engagement with the open source community, oversight of the Open Source Review Board, and a variety of software development projects. Phil was focused on open source at HP from 2001 through 2012.

Phil is a widely respected expert in the area of open source strategy, business impact, and governance. He is frequently asked to speak at international technology & business events and he has been consulted by policy makers including the European Commission, and the United States Department of Justice as well as numerous high technology trade organisations.

Prior to joining HP, Phil held senior management and technical positions at Critical Path, Fisher Scientific, Motorola and Honeywell-Bull focused on wireless, and wireline high speed telecommunications software and services.

Phil holds a bachelor of science degree in Management Information Systems from Bowling Green State University and performed graduate studies in Computer Science at Colorado State University.

Mr. Ayush Sharma
SVP of Carrier IP Product Line | Huawei


As a Senior VP and Head of IP & Emerging Technologies group of Huawei's Network Product Line business, Ayush leads a global team of technologists responsible for driving future network architecture, standardization, open source strategy & initiatives, evolving product and services requirements, advanced technology subsystem roadmap, and induction of technology and architectural concepts into Huawei's product & services portfolio. He is a strategic member of several corporate decision making councils at Huawei. He is the driving force behind "China SDN Industry alliance".

Mr. Shu Zhilong

Shu Zhilong is the marketing director of SDN solution in Huawei Fixed Network BU. In this role, he is responsible for management of SDN solution marketing.

Before this position, Zhilong was hired as the deputy director for Huawei Carrier IP product line since 2010, where he led the team to provide innovative and cutting-edge solutions to key carriers and build the competitive advantage, especially in Europe.

He also was an architect of router and development manager before 2010. He joined Huawei in 2001 and has worked for tem to date. He is an expert in fixed network solutions, especially in the IP and SDN area.

Mr. Bill Snow

Bill Snow is the VP of Engineering with the Open Networking Laboratory (ON.Lab). He is responsible for all engineering and operations at ON.Lab.

Prior to joining ON.Lab, Bill spent over 25 years in the industry building high performance product development teams and delivering innovative products. Most recently he was consulting with network security startups as interim VP of engineering. Before that he led engineering teams in both startup companies as well as large companies. He was responsible for the routing and high availability software of the CRS-1, Cisco's flagship core router after the start-up Growth Networks was acquired by Cisco.

He was also responsible for the Centillion 100 LAN switching product line when Bay Networks was acquired by Nortel Networks, after Centillion had been acquired by Bay Networks.

Bill received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Stanford University as well as a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Stanford University.

Ms. Rada Stanic
Consulting Solutions Architect, Service Provider – Cloud and Data Centre | Cisco


Rada Stanic is the Lead Architect with Cisco Australia, responsible for Service Provider segment and specialising in Cloud and Software based solutions. In this role, Rada is responsible for assisting Cisco's Service Provider customers in developing their architectures and enabling new services that align with their business goals.

Most recently, Rada's key focus areas have been Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualisation (NfV) and Cloud. Prior to this role, Rada worked as an architect in the Smart Grids as well as all aspects of architecture, design and implementation of large carrier grade networks spanning areas of technologies such as MPLS, Metro Ethernet, Broadband and VoIP.

Prior to joining Cisco, Rada was a Senior Software Engineer at Alcatel-Lucent. Rada holds a Bachelor Degree in Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering.

Mr. Shahar Steiff

Shahar Steiff joined PCCW Global Ltd. in 2001 and during his tenure has served in sales, pre-sales, product development and management roles.

In his current assignment as AVP New Technologies, part of the Technology & Applications team, Shahar is evaluating the technical, commercial and operational applicability of new technologies to PCCW Global's portfolio of products and services. Prior to his roles at PCCW-Global Ltd. Shahar worked for Teleglobe Inc. and for NetVision, Israel's pioneering commercial ISP of that time.

Shahar has been an active member of the MEF for the past several years, and is a Member of the MEF Board of Directors, a Co-Chair of the MEF Service-Operations Committee, and a member of the MEF Marketing Leadership Council.

Anuradha Udunuwara is an expert in the field of Telecom & Technology. He has over 10 years industry experience in Strategy, Architecture, Engineering, Design, Plan, Implementation and Maintenance of Communications Service Provider (CSP) Networks using both Packet-Switched (PS) and Circuit-Switched (CS) technologies (IP/MPLS, Ethernet, FR, OTN, xWDM, PDH, SDH, xDSL, GPON and WiFi), along with legacy to NGN migration. He is a regular speaker and panelist at many international conferences, including Carrier Ethernet APAC, WDM & Next Generation Optical Networking APAC, Next Generation Optical Networking USA, LTE Asia, and MEF GEN.

In his current role, he is responsible for consulting, advising, architecting, designing & planning technical solutions for Small & Medium Enterprise/Business/Industry (SME/B/I) customers. In addition, he is also involved in SDN, BYOD, Big Data, LBS, xWDM/OTN Backbone Networks, FTTH and WiFi implementations. His teaching experience extends to the level of guest lecturer at Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He also works as a Faculty at Commonwealth Telecommunication Organization, UK.

Mr. Kevin Vachon

Appointed as MEF COO in 2006, Kevin leads a team that builds, supports and scales the MEF's ever-increasing mix of global programs activities. With a key objective of globalizing Carrier Ethernet and MEF standards, Kevin directs efforts to expand CE awareness, membership and program activities particularly into emerging markets. Kevin is a frequent speaker at conferences, a senior MEF representative to the press and analyst community and oversees MEF liaison relationships with other associations and standards organizations.

During his tenure, membership has tripled to over 220 companies, representing 48 countries, with Service Provider membership increasing eight fold. New member committees have been formed and MEF's Marketing, Certification programs have been substantially expanded. OpenCloud Connect, formerly known as the CloudEthernet Forum, has been established within MEF's legal framework.

Kevin held the position of CEO of DIATEM Networks Inc., a Carrier Ethernet software company from 2003 to 2005 and was Chairman, President and CEO of NUVO Network Management, a network management outsourcing firm, from 1996 to 2002. Previously, he held other senior management positions with NUVO and spent 10 years in a wide variety of capacities with Gandalf Technologies, a network equipment vendor.

Mr. Jon Vestal

Based in Singapore, Jon Vestal is a veteran of the telecoms industry with over 20 years of IT and telecommunications experience from engineering and operations to product development and sales.

In his current role as head of product architecture, Jon overseas the team responsible for the enhancement of the company's core network products as well as the design and delivery of strategic product initiatives including cloud computing.

He joined the company in 2011 to lead its Content Delivery Network (CDN) product development, spearheading the buildout of the company's extensive Asia Pacific CDN PoP network and helping create a growing and profitable new product portfolio.
