NFV+SDN Carrier Evolution in Silicon Valley

 

A 2015 Heavy Reading global survey commissioned by OPNFV found that nearly 60 percent of telecommunication professionals are actively exploring NFV. A remarkable achievement since 2012, when the Carrier NFV project was first announced at the SDN & OpenFlow World Congress in Darmstadt. 


NFV World Congress
was founded in 2014 by a group of visionary and senior carrier leaders, in order to form a centre of gravity for the rapidly emerging NFV industry, and provide the right forum to accelerate innovation and support ecosystem growth.

The inaugural Congress in San Jose established an immediate success in May 2015: attracting 1,000 delegates, 60 exhibitors and the global community of leaders, activists & experts from technology, business and academia, who are driving this network evolution forwards.

Truly neutral – with no hidden agenda – the Congress focuses on applied innovation for production networks, not blue-sky research
